melanie:Hope and Peace and Love and Trust, All the world is all of us
As a mental health counselor for families and a new aunt I am always on the hunt for quality children's books. I purchased this book for my new niece and nephew and I love to read it to them. While it will be some time until the babies can enjoy the pictures and message of the book, the narrative for the story offers a "poetic like" rhythm that can by said in a sing song voice which small children love. Pictures are fairly detailed and full of emotion which parents and caregivers can use to engage older children in "question and answer" conversation about what the child sees in the pictures.
Also, I like the story, pictures and message so I don't mind reading it as the adult. The first time I picked this book up and read it to myself, I almost teared up for the last two pages. I am hoping that as my niece and nephew grow, this book will help create discussions about how sacred life is and how we are all connected. It is never too early to teach children that they are safe, loved and connected to the world around them. I will be recommending this book to friends and will definitely grab a copy for my own children one day!

Kelly2017:A must have! Perfect for an 'In Lieu of card" gift.
I have read this book to my son almost every day during his first year. I cannot say enough how much I love this book. I could say the entire thing by memory. The message and drawings are beautiful and the tone is so peaceful and calming for baby (and mom!). It's a perfect read before bedtime or nap time. It's my husbands go to if our LO is fussy before bed and can't calm down. Whenever a baby shower asks for a book in lieu of a card, I choose this one! Perfect for boys or girls, babies or toddlers.

Preston and Julie:Excellent illustrations, simple wording but has a beautifully larger picture message
Such a great little story. Excellent illustrations, simple wording but has a beautifully larger picture message about how the world is grand but comes down to the little important things. A sweet and enjoyable book my 18 month old keeps wanting to read again and again.

Jojomamajuju:Simply beautiful... makes me tear up
The poetry and rhythm of this book are lovely, the message is deep and important (yet simple at the same time). My 14-month-old son loves the pictures and the succinct, lyrical words. There are lots of little details in the illustrations to notice and point out-- great for a curious toddler. I love everything about this book, and my husband, who is not usually one to get emotional over children's books, has gushed several times about it, and it even made him tear up when he read it to our son.

Kayla D:Absolutely amazing
This is probably one of, if not the best children's book I have ever read. It is beautiful and poetic. And the illustrations are so lovely. My baby seems to be growing with the book and interacting with it differently as she as grown, from contentedly sitting through the whole thing to picking different parts to sit through a few pages to wanting to scrutinize ever object on particular pages of interest

Moira Katson: Literally Read This to PiecesThis is our second copy of this book because our toddler wanted to read it so often that it fell apart. The words have a good rhythm and aren't trite, which is unusual and amazing, but what I most love is the care taken with the illustration. Details follow from page to page, and we can go find the pages with the puppy, or the clouds, or whatever it might be. One of our favorites.
